Seasonal wagashi and a kimono stroll through the 1,000-year-old Omiya Hachiman Shrine forest complete the experience.

What to expect
Enjoy a private tea ceremony hosted by an **Omotesenke Associate Professor with over 25 years of experience in kimono dressing and Japanese culture**.
During the tea ceremony, first enjoy a bowl of matcha prepared by your host, then try whisking your own. Compare the two bowls and discover how the taste and texture of matcha can change depending on the person who prepares it.
You will also have the opportunity to see a special tea kettle crafted by a **Japanese Living National Treasure**, along with seasonal tea utensils.
After the tea ceremony, we’ll visit the **1,000-year-old Omiya Hachimangu Shrine** together. We’ll show you Japanese shrine customs and help you take beautiful photos in your kimono among the autumn leaves.
