You will also stroll through the famous Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, and complete the journey with a ride on the nostalgic Sagano Scenic Railway, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and river valleys.

    Depart from Arashiyama Tsusen South Pier A traditional-style boat guided by a boatman using a bamboo pole will travel upstream along the Oi River for 1 km.From the entrance of the gorge, the boat will slowly drift back downstream to the original boarding point on a scenic journey. Enjoy a private boat cruise immersed in Kyoto’s geisha culture.Listen live performances of the traditional Japanese instrument, the shamisen. Experience traditional games once enjoyed at gatherings of Kyoto geisha in the old days.Capture beautiful seasonal landscapes along the river.Learn about the life of a maiko (apprentice geisha) from a former maiko.Return to Arashiyama Tsusen South Pier (approx. 60 minutes total)。 Important Notes: Operations may be suspended due to heavy rain, strong winds, or rising river levels.     Driver who also serves as a guide, will take you to Tenryu-ji Temple, purchase the tickets in advance, and accompany you throughout the visit while providing explanations of the temple and its highlights. Tenryu-ji is a UNESCO World Heritage Zen temple in Kyoto, renowned for its 700-year-old landscape garden, harmonious mountain views, and beautiful seasonal scenery.
