Step into the wild heart of Sri Lanka with an unforgettable safari through Minneriya National Park — one of the island’s most spectacular wildlife destinations.
Climb aboard a comfortable 4x4 jeep and venture across sweeping grasslands, dense forest patches, and the shores of the historic Minneriya Tank reservoir. Your experienced local guide will take you deep into the park, where you’ll have the chance to witness herds of wild Asian elephants roaming freely in their natural habitat. During the dry season, you may even experience “The Gathering,” when hundreds of elephants congregate around the reservoir — a breathtaking sight found in very few places on Earth.
But the adventure doesn’t stop there. Keep your camera ready for spotted deer, sambar, water buffalo, crocodiles, and an incredible variety of birdlife. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the elusive Sri Lankan leopard or a sloth bear.

Meeting and pickup
Guests will meet our driver/guide at the main entrance or hotel lobby (depending on the selected pickup option). The driver will be waiting with a sign displaying the lead traveler’s name for easy identification.
For hotel pickups, guests are requested to wait in the hotel lobby 10 minutes before the scheduled pickup time.
For park entrance meet-ups, our driver will wait at the main entrance gate holding a name board.

Minneriya is world-famous for hosting one of Asia’s largest seasonal elephant gatherings. During the dry season, hundreds of wild Asian elephants migrate to the Minneriya Tank reservoir to drink, feed, and socialize. Watching herds roam freely across the grasslands is a truly unforgettable wildlife spectacle.
