We TRY to pickup/dropoff from exact locations, however road closures or extreme traffic conditions may require participants to walk a short distance.
What to expect
Of course, we’re here to hike Pacaya Volcano, enjoy the incredible volcanic landscapes, and take in those amazing views. But for us, the experience doesn’t end when we come back down the mountain.
Instead of simply hopping on the shuttle and heading straight back to Antigua, we take time to explore the local town with our guide, who is from the Pacaya region.
We’ll walk through the community, say hello to local residents, get a glimpse of everyday life, and hear stories about the volcano, past eruptions, and what it’s like living in this part of Guatemala.
Then we’ll stop at a local comedor (a small, traditional neighborhood eatery) to enjoy a meal and experience a little more of everyday Guatemalan life.
We pride ourselves in offering the most authentic experiences. This is your chance to experience Pacaya not just as a visitor hiking a volcano, but as a guest discovering the place and people who call it home.
