This is a privately hosted Dublin walking tour for American visitors who want a calm, enjoyable, and tailored introduction to the city. Forget crowded, scripted group tours — we’ll explore history, culture, modern life, and wonderful tips at a pace that suits you. As an American who’s lived in Dublin for over 25 years, you’ll get the whole picture through the lens of your interests to bridge the gap between the Ireland you imagine and the Dublin you’ll actually experience.
If I am not collecting you your hotel in Dublin 1, 2, 3 and 4 only, we will meet just inside Trinity College Dublin's main gate (before entering the campus). I will be holding a bright pink umbrella.
Because each tour is tailored to your interests, we may end the tour at a different place in Dublin 1 or 2.
We will walk through the campus and cover your interests here, such as TCD history, famous graduates, architecture, and a summary of the Book of Kells.
We will walk through this area and see your interests including the original tour, the rebuild, the meaning behind the name, and Chester Beatty Library.
We will walk through and address your interests including its history, famous owner, and its role in 1916 Easter Rising.
On the bridge, we will talk about your interests including river history, the city layout, famous buildings, and the 1916 Rising.
