Private Moroccan Cooking Class in Historic Riad Mayfez in Fes

4 hours (approximately)

Within the intimacy of a private workshop (2 to 6 guests), you will share from three to four generous hours of creation and conviviality.
Your senses awaken, your hands engage, and your palate is carried toward culinary horizons as refined as they are captivating.

With the guidance of your native language speaking Chef, assisted by one of Mayfez's butler who will be acting as translator, immerse yourself in the vibrant flavors of Moroccan cuisine and the rhythms of daily life.

Depending on the workshop you choose, you may begin with a visit to the local souk to select your ingredients, before returning to Mayfez to craft 5 traditional dishes, or experience the time-honored ritual of visiting the neighborhood public oven, where your bread or pastries are baked in the traditional way, or enjoy Moroccan tea ritual within the premises of Mayfez.

What to expect

The cooking school is rooted in a simple idea: well-being through pleasure.
The workshop you choose will therefore reflect not just what you wish to learn, but
what you wish to feel.

- For a fully immersive sensory experience: the complete menu, including a journey
through the souk, its colors, its scents, its vibrant life.

- For a moment of softness and calm: the pastry workshop. Step into a world of honey
and almonds, infused with orange blossom. Experience local life by taking your
creations to the communal oven.

- To release tension: the bread-making workshop. A practice
guided by the natural rhythm of rising dough, where kneading becomes a quiet,
grounding gesture. Here, nothing is rushed-nature sets the pace.

- For a deeper immersion into memory and history: the Moroccan Jewish cuisine
workshop. A moment of storytelling shared over tea, before moving to the kitchen.
The Shabbat workshop follows the rhythm of tradition.
The Mimouna workshop unfolds in a lighter spirit, where cakes, pancakes, honey, and
sweet delicacies shape the culinary journey.
