In the observation hide you can comfortably enjoy the peace of nature while observing Finland’s large predators. You will be greeted by the beautiful view of pond with Vankonvaara-hill’s old spruce forest rising in the background.
In addition to the wolverines and bears, you have the opportunity to observe waterfowl feeding on the pond during the summer.
The observation hide consists of two apartments that can accommodate a total of about 20 people. One of the two apartments has a wheelchair access, so this experience is possible also for people with reduced mobility. Both of the observation hides have binoculars, bunk beds with bed sheets and pillows, dry toilets.

Meeting and pickup
The guide and information session are held in the reception area of the building.
What to expect
In addition to the wolverines and bears, you have the opportunity to observe waterfowl feeding on the pond during the summer.
Arrival at 2 pm to the Keljänpuro Lodge.
Briefing and welcome coffee
Getting to the observation hide at around 3 pm.
Leaving the hide next morning at 8 am.
