    St. Michael's Mount

After travelling in comfort from Falmouth through the Cornish countryside you will first glimpse the 'Castle in Sky' as we approach the ancient village of Marazion. Sitting off shore at the end of St Michael's Way, an ancient 12.5 mile pilgrims route, the 'Mount is reached either by boat at high tide or via the causeway at low tide. Once on the island you will have time to explore the cafes and gift shops as well as the grounds before climbing up to the castle via the cobblestoned path (this is steep in places and requires sensible footwear). Entry is via timed ticket during the busy season and is included in your tour. Once at the castle you will have ample time to tour the still inhabited castle/home of the St Aubyn family with the all treasures and artifacts laid out before you. There are knowledgable room guides throughout to enhance your experience. Once back down retrace your steps back to the 'mainland.'

    Marazion

Marazion makes the claim to be the oldest town in Cornwall, having a charter granted in 1257. This quaint and ancient town is great for an explore as you wander the narrow streets with gift shops, local stores and the All Saints Church. This was built on the site of two previous places of worship and is a delightful Victorian Church, designed by the architect James Piers St Aubin (a cousin of the, then, Lord St Levan of St Michael’s Mount) and was consecrated in 1861.

Porthleven is a working fishing harbour and is quintessentially Cornish as well as being the most southerly 'Port' in Great Britain. Why not visit the Ship Inn, to sample an ale, that has sat overlooking the harbour since around 1805 or sample at a cream tea at one of the many cafes around the harbour. This is a great way to spend an hour of your time here in Cornwall. You will also have time here to collect a few more gifts to take home!
