At the Guild Hall we'll start by turning the clock back to the 13th century to visit Cambridge as it was before the university
Next we’ll go back to Saxon times visiting the oldest building in Cambridgeshire – and try to solve the mystery of its strange windows.
Now we’ll whiz forward a thousand years and crack the Atom at the famous Cavendish Laboratory and perhaps even discover the structure of DNA
If it is open we’ll enter Pembroke College, the 3rd Oldest in Cambridge – and see the first building Sir Christopher Wren Designed
Here we will learn the nature of time, what a Chronophage is and how your central heating paid for the newest tourist attraction in Cambridge , the famouse Corpus Clock
For many, King’s College and its Chapel is Cambridge– but its only 1 of the 31 that make up the University – and as you’ll learn it’s a miracle it was ever built. We won't go in but I do offer a sepate tour or the Chapel - see my website for details
Senate House and the old schools is the centre of the university – and its where every student will graduate from. If we are lucky we will see a graduation ceremony – if not we can have your own.
Since the 13th Century Great St Mary’s has been ‘the University Church’ , and in the 18th Century it was the very centre of England. More amazingly you can hear its chimes in London.
Founded by Herney VIII Trinty was where Newton worked for most of his life - bring and apple and you can get a selfie with a descendent of his famous tree
The largest college in Cambridge with the most impressive gate – this is a chance to learn about the teenage mum, who founded two collages, finished King’s Collage Chaple and Great St Mary’s Church. And if that is not enough – started the Tudor Dynasty
