Discover Wulong's UNESCO-listed karst landscape on a private day trip from Chongqing. Walk beneath Asia's largest natural stone bridge cluster at Tiansheng Three Bridges, roam the alpine meadows of Fairy Mountain, and drive through the dramatic Wujiang River gorge — all in one day, with no shopping stops and no group coaches.
Please enter your hotel location that would like us to pick up, and we will contact the customer to confirm the pick-up location one day before the experience.
Your driver will contact you the evening before departure to confirm your exact pick-up time and meeting point. Collection is available from hotels and popular landmarks across Chongqing's central districts: Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, Lianglukou, Guanyinqiao, Grand Theatre, Nanbin Road, and Nanping. On public holidays and during peak season, pick-up may be moved slightly earlier.
The drive south from Chongqing follows the 319 National Road as it winds alongside the Wujiang River through a spectacular limestone gorge — a stretch locals call the Wujiang Gallery. Sheer cliffs rise from both banks and the river runs emerald green below. This is a scenic road corridor rather than a ticketed park: your driver will stop at panoramic viewpoints along the way for photographs. Sit on the river side of the vehicle for the best views. No entrance fee required.
Your vehicle drives directly into Fairy Mountain — bypassing the standard visitor-centre shuttle queues — and deposits you on the highland plateau at 1,900 metres elevation. Known as the "Oriental Swiss Alps," the park's broad alpine meadows, pine forests, and wildflower pastures sit noticeably cooler than central Chongqing. It is one of the most photographed spots in southwest China, particularly for travellers who enjoy landscape photography. Optional horseback riding across the grasslands is available on-site and can be arranged directly (self-pay). Lunch follows in nearby Xiannu Town, where dozens of local restaurants serve Chongqing specialities — order and pay independently.
The highlight of the day — and one of China's most extraordinary natural sites. Three karst sky-bridges span the same hidden gorge in sequence: Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge, and Heilong Bridge, each a freestanding natural arch formed over 12 million years as underground rivers dissolved the limestone above. Together they form Asia's largest natural bridge cluster, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and recognised globally as the filming location for Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014). Your vehicle drops you directly at the scenic area entrance — no visitor-centre shuttle required on standard days. Your Tiankeng (天坑) valley lift ticket is included in the tour price: take the lift down to the gorge floor (walls rise up to 350 metres above) and walk the circuit beneath all three bridges. The walk covers roughly 3 kilometres on well-maintained paths with some uneven sections. Allow the full 2.5 hours to explore at a comfortable pace.
Drop-off at Jiefangbei / Hongyadong area in central Chongqing. Please note: the return journey from Wulong is longer than the outbound, and arrival time cannot be guaranteed due to variable traffic conditions — particularly on weekends and public holidays. We strongly recommend not booking onward transportation or activities on the evening of this tour.
