Day Trip to Howth Peninsula

6 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English

For those visiting Dublin who would like to escape the busy city without having to travel too far, the charming seaside fishing village of Howth and its surroundings are a perfect option. Travel along Ireland's oldest rail line, the quaint DART system will transport us to what feels like a different world to the city centre in under 30 minutes, and of course, I will be very happy to point out a few of the points of interest and landmarks along the way. Scenic, beautiful and steeped in history, the settlement here dates back to the arrival of the Vikings in the 9th Century AD.

Take some time to meander along the pier, taking in the abundance of market stalls, adorable cafés, and hopefully spot some seals at the harbour. Embark along the cliff walk looking out onto the Irish sea, take in views and stories throughout the day, before stopping for a well-earned pint of Guinness at the summit!
