  Visit Portal Fernández Concha, one of Santiago’s traditional commercial galleries, located in the heart of the historic center. This particular gallery is known as a hub for Santiago’s street food and is considered the birthplace of the Chilean “completo,” the country’s iconic hot dog. As you explore, you will see a variety of local food options, and if you wish, you can try some of these traditional flavors. From here, we will also pass through and discover other nearby galleries, experiencing this distinctive and lively part of Santiago’s culture.

• Paseo Bandera (Pass by)

  Walk along Paseo Bandera, a vibrant pedestrian street in Santiago’s financial district, often compared to a “Wall Street” of the city. Surrounded by historic buildings, banks, and the nearby stock exchange, this colorful avenue blends Santiago’s economic heart with striking urban art. As you explore, your guide will share insights into Chile’s financial history and the transformation of this iconic street into a lively cultural space. At the end of the street, you will see from the outside the Pre-Columbian Museum, the Supreme Court, and the former National Congress, where your guide will explain their history and significance.

Along the way, you will see important landmarks such as the University of Chile and the Pontifical Catholic University, two of the country’s most prestigious institutions. You will also visit one of Santiago’s metro stations, known for its artistic design and integration of public art.   See La Moneda Palace, Chile’s presidential palace and one of the most important political buildings in the country. During this stop, you will view the palace from the outside while your guide explains its architecture, historical significance, and key events that have taken place here. Please note that entrance is not included.
