A four-wheel-drive vehicle or minivan will take you into the mountains where you will see idyllic waterfalls, timeless villages, the Ourika Valley, and the Asni Valley. A spectacular journey along breathtaking mountain roads will lead you to a Berber home for lunch.
Your Atlas Mountains excursion from Marrakech departs from Marrakech with an experienced driver for the first valley, Ourika, about a 1-hour drive from Marrakech. It is famous for its waterfalls (to visit these waterfalls, you must hike for about 1 hour and 20 minutes round trip with a mountain guide). Here you'll also find Berber women extracting argan oil . You'll also be treated to spectacular, sweeping views. Following a path at an altitude of 1800 meters, you'll continue through the second valley, known as the Sidi Faress Valley.
Next, you'll reach the third valley, Asni, famous for its fruit trees .
Here, you can admire the view of the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas Mountains near Marrakech (Toubkal, 4167 m).
