Florence Shared Lastra a Signa Cooking Experience

Offered in: English and 2 more

This is not a standard cooking class, but a shared moment inside a real 18th-century villa still lived in, in the Tuscan countryside of Lastra a Signa.

Guests are welcomed into a private home, not a commercial setting, and cook alongside Chef Giulio in a small group.

The experience is shaped by what is available: aromatic herbs from the garden are used in the dishes, and the menu changes with the season, guided by the chef rather than a fixed program.

There is no rigid structure or production-style format... the rhythm follows the natural flow of preparing, tasting, and sharing.

What makes it different is the authenticity of the setting, the direct connection to ingredients, and the feeling of being hosted rather than attending a class.

What to expect

Your experience begins in Florence, where you meet and travel to a historic 18th-century villa in the countryside of Lastra a Signa.

Once you arrive, you are welcomed into a real private home, not a commercial cooking school. The experience is guided by Chef Giulio, who shares his way of cooking through direct participation rather than a formal lesson.

During the experience, you will work with ingredients that are part of the villa itself, including aromatic herbs such as rosemary and sage, which are used in the preparation of the dishes.

In a small group setting, you will prepare fresh pasta and other Tuscan recipes together with the chef. The menu is not fixed in advance but changes depending on the season and available ingredients.

Throughout the activity, you will move between different moments of preparation, tasting, and interaction, following a natural rhythm rather than a structured class format.

At the end, you will sit down together to enjoy the meal you have prepared, accompanied by wine and conversation.

After the meal, you will have time to relax before returning to Florence.
