Your driver picks you up at your hotel in Marrakech around 08:00. You leave the city behind and head west toward the Atlantic coast. Along the way, the red plains give way to rolling hills and argan forests. You pause at a viewpoint to stretch your legs, take photos, and enjoy the open countryside.

2Essaouira
You reach Essaouira around midday. The rest of the day is yours. Walk the old medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with whitewashed walls and blue doors. Climb the Skala ramparts and watch waves crash below the old cannons. Wander the souks for woodwork, spices, and local crafts. Game of Thrones fans will spot scenes from the show on these walls. Hungry? Your driver can point you to a good local spot. Head to the fishing port and pick fresh fish off the grill, or sit down for a slow-cooked tagine by the sea.
