    Mayapan Archaeological Zone

    Your journey takes you to Mayapán, known as the "Flag of the Mayas." As the last great political capital of the Yucatan, this site offers a unique look at the late Postclassic period. Climb the Main Pyramid: Unlike other major sites, Mayapán still allows visitors to climb the Temple of Kukulcan.
