    Mayapan Archaeological Zone

Your journey takes you to Mayapán, known as the "Flag of the Mayas." As the last great political capital of the Yucatan, this site offers a unique look at the late Postclassic period. Climb the Main Pyramid: Unlike other major sites, Mayapán still allows visitors to climb the Temple of Kukulcan. You will reach the summit for a breathtaking 360-degree view of the vast Yucatecan jungle—a perfect spot for unforgettable photography. Admire Ancient Artistry: You will see incredibly preserved original murals and stucco reliefs that depict the cosmic vision of the Maya, showcasing colors and details that have survived for centuries. Explore a "Miniature" Masterpiece: You will walk among more than 4,000 structures. Because the site is compact and less crowded, you’ll feel like you have the entire ancient city to yourself, allowing for a peaceful and profound connection with history.
