Begin with Auckland as your base for 5 nights. During this exciting city stay, you can absorb the vibrant culture, culinary delights and rich heritage of Auckland, that’s also known locally as Tamaki Makaurau. A half-day tour ticks off some of Auckland’s key sights, like Mission Bay Beach, Viaduct Harbour and Auckland Domain. The following day, get a more intimate view of the city on a 3-hour guided walking tour. An afternoon tour will take you to the picturesque Waitakere Ranges and beautiful Piha Beach.     Arrive in the City of Sails - Auckland, New Zealand. Please catch a taxi or Uber to your centrally located city hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore Auckland at leisure. Auckland has one of the highest numbers of boats per capita in the world. Its skyline is dominated by the Sky Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere, offering panoramic views of the city and surrounding islands. Auckland is known for its diverse population, with significant Māori, Pacific Islander, Asian, and European communities. This multicultural mix is reflected in its food, festivals, and neighbourhoods. The city also serves as a gateway to natural attractions like the nearby Waiheke Island, famous for beaches and vineyards, and the Waitākere Ranges, known for lush rainforests and rugged coastline.
