Begin with Auckland as your base for 5 nights. During this exciting city stay, you can absorb the vibrant culture, culinary delights and rich heritage of Auckland, that’s also known locally as Tamaki Makaurau. A half-day tour ticks off some of Auckland’s key sights, like Mission Bay Beach, Viaduct Harbour and Auckland Domain. The following day, get a more intimate view of the city on a 3-hour guided walking tour. An afternoon tour will take you to the picturesque Waitakere Ranges and beautiful Piha Beach. On the final day, join a tour to two of the North Island’s most famous attractions – Te Puia Geothermal Wonderland at Rotorua.

1Auckland
Arrive in the City of Sails - Auckland, New Zealand. Please catch a taxi or Uber to your centrally located city hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore Auckland at leisure. Auckland has one of the highest numbers of boats per capita in the world. Its skyline is dominated by the Sky Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere, offering panoramic views of the city and surrounding islands. Auckland is known for its diverse population, with significant Māori, Pacific Islander, Asian, and European communities. This multicultural mix is reflected in its food, festivals, and neighbourhoods. The city also serves as a gateway to natural attractions like the nearby Waiheke Island, famous for beaches and vineyards, and the Waitākere Ranges, known for lush rainforests and rugged coastline.

Head off to see the stunning attractions and unspoiled scenery of the City of Sails, as Auckland is affectionately known. There are plenty of opportunities to capture amazing photos that you will treasure for a lifetime. The tour stops at the major highlights of the city, including Auckland Harbour Bridge, Devonport and North Head (Maungauika), Auckland Waterfront and Viaduct, Bastion Point, Mission Bay, Tamaki Drive and Achilles Point, and the Historic Mount Eden. Auckland Walking Tours takes you on a walking tour around Downtown and central Auckland for 2 and a half hours. Some of the stories and facts are built into the tour and others come from the guides. Guides are encouraged to tell their stories and to make tours their own, so no two tours from different guides are exactly the same, just like no two people are the same. This is a great way to experience Auckland on foot with a friendly local. We walk around downtown and Midtown Auckland city visiting parks, statues, walking past art galleries’, museums, university’s, street art, and places we love just to mention a few things!

Overview - Explore and admire Auckland's largest regional park, the Waitakere Ranges, on this 5 hour afternoon eco-tour. The perfect way to get out of the city and enjoy the nature on Auckland's doorstep. You'll be picked up from your centrally located Auckland hotel before travelling 30-minutes west to the Waitakere Ranges. From here travel further west to enjoy a walk in the rainforest before visiting the beautiful Piha Beach for a walk on the soft black sand. Afternoon refreshments are provided along with full commentary from our driver guides.

Take some time to rest for lunch and then head to Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Wonderland considered one of the most surreal places on earth.
