3Vestibulum of Diocletian's Palace
Grand entrance to the once emperor's living area. Today, these ancient walls sometimes echo with the heartfelt harmonies of Klapa a cappella singing - a 19th-century local tradition and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, whose singers are showing the spirit and soul of Dalmatia.

7The Golden Gate
A majestic entrance once reserved for Emperor Diocletian himself marks the transition from the Roman complex and leads us directly into the Venetian heart of Split, surrounded by impressive stone walls and centuries of history, from 6th-century St. Martin's Church to Airbnbs inside the Gate walls.

8Grgur Ninski Statue
One more symbol of Split, the iconic statue of Gregory of Nin - according to local tradition, rubbing his shiny golden toe brings good luck and they say you will come back to Split. It’s one of Split’s most beloved photo spots and a must-do while exploring the old town.

This vibrant square is today the main square of Split’s Old Town.
