Travel from your hotel in Luang Prabang Old Town to the ferry terminal, then cross the Mekong River by local ferry to Xiangman Village.

Meet your local guide and begin a guided hike through the village’s surrounding mountains and forests. Learn basic wilderness skills, identify tropical plants and insects, and look for signs of local wildlife along the trail.

Explore natural caves and discover a sacred water source used during important local festivals. Continue to the Mekong River, where your guide will introduce traditional Lao fishing methods and demonstrate how local fishing nets are used.

After the fishing experience, learn how to prepare food over a traditional charcoal fire. Make simple banana-based dishes and enjoy locally prepared bamboo-grilled fish before returning by ferry and transferring back to your hotel.
