What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We meet directly at the starting point of the walk. Your guide will be waiting for you and easy to recognize. All details, including the exact location and directions, will be shared after booking. Please arrive 10 minutes early.
What to expect
We begin with a gentle 30-minute uphill walk. As we gain elevation, the views become more impressive with every step, with Chania, the harbor, and the coastline unfolding beneath us. Being so close to the city, everything below soon feels like a miniature world.
Once we reach the top, the most magical part begins. The sun slowly starts to set, bathing the landscape in warm golden light. From here, the route is mostly downhill as we follow natural trails at a relaxed pace, enjoying uninterrupted views of the coastline and sunset.
Along the way, we pass small chapels where we can stop for a short break, as well as ancient olive trees and often free-roaming goats. Surrounded by the peaceful Cretan countryside, you’ll discover a side of the island that feels far away from the busy tourist areas.
The first section requires a little effort, but the rest of the walk is much easier. As the sun disappears beyond the horizon and the lights of Chania begin to sparkle below, you’ll experience a beautiful Cretan evening and a more authentic side of Crete.
