Guided Educational Olive Oil Tasting in Village Marezige

With just a 15 minute drive, you will leave the city of Koper to get immersed in the beautiful countrside and Istrian scenery of our RED FAIRYTALE tourist farm located in Marezige. We will introduce you to the world of our premium extra virgin olive oil and Istrian olives. Your tasting experience will begin with a visit to our olive trees immersed in their beautiful natural scenery.

You will see the care needed to obtain the best fruit in a modern production system combining the latest technology with the experience of many generations aiming to sustainably protect this precious environment. You will learn about different olive varieties, their seasonality, life cycle, harvesting and how table olives are prepared. Depending on the time of the year, you will harvest, pick or eat olives directly from the tree! At the end of this experience, you will taste our authentic olive oil, olives & spreads from them.

What to expect

We invite you to an immersive olive oil tasting experience, where you'll step into the world of our premium organic extra virgin olive oil, made from the finest Istrian olives, guided by our expert olive grower.

You'll uncover the secrets of olive oil production and savor the unique flavors of homemade olive spreads, house wines, liqueurs, and refreshing non-alcoholic beverages. This tasting journey will take you through our enchanting olive groves, nestled in the stunning natural beauty of the Istrian countryside. Our RED FAIRYTALE Tourist Farm is located in the charming village of Marezige, at the heart of Slovenian Istria.

He olive tasting experience includes a tour of the olive groves. In the first part of the tasting, the owner and olive grower Sašo will share his expertise with you and take you on a journey into the world of tasting our three varieties of extra virgin olive oil. The tasting will be accompanied by homemade bread, local cheese, and seasonal vegetables drizzled with our olive oils. For refreshment, our homemade organic natural juices will be available.
