2Miradouro Das Portas Do Sol
is one of the most iconic viewpoints in Lisbon, located in the historic Alfama district. 3Lisbon Cathedral
It was built in the 12th century and looks more like a fortress than a typical church, with thick stone walls and two large towers at the front. This strong design reflects its history—it was constructed soon after the Christian reconquest of Lisbon and had to be defensive as well as religious. Inside, the atmosphere is quiet and dim, with: Long stone arches and a central nave Beautiful stained-glass rose window A small cloister where archaeological remains from Roman and Moorish times have been found
