Meeting point: Bd Helvétique 19, 1207 Geneva. Take tram 12 or 17 to Rive, then walk about 3 minutes. Several buses also stop at Rive. The address is also easy to reach on foot from the city centre and the lake.

What to expect

During this experience, travellers will be welcomed into an authentic cheese shop in Geneva by the expert owner. The experience begins with a short guided tour of the shop, where guests are introduced to the different products, their origins, and how they are made. The owner will explain the craftsmanship behind Swiss cheeses, the regions they come from, and the traditions that shape their unique character.

Guests will then take part in a curated tasting of five Swiss cheeses, learning how to observe texture, recognise aromas, and fully appreciate flavours, while discovering the story behind each product.

The tasting is accompanied by a glass of Swiss red and white wine, carefully selected to complement the cheeses. Along the way, the expert shares simple tips on pairing, tasting techniques, and how to recognise quality products.

The experience is relaxed and interactive, with time to ask questions and enjoy the warm atmosphere. An optional selection of premium cured meat can be added to enhance the experience further.
