A Walking Trail Experience on Fridays. Quiet, pleasant and easily accessible trail within the charming Botanical Garden neighborhood for Women 40+ organized by 2 Women 40+!

It is 3 km (1,8 miles) of moderate hiking, with climbs, but on an open trail of beaten land, immersed in the Atlantic Forest within Tijuca National Park, one of the largest urban forests in the world.

If you are between the ages of 40 - 70, like to walk the trail and will visit Rio de Janeiro, this Forest Walk is for you.

If you are a resident of Rio de Janeiro, but do not know the Primates Trail, maybe this is the opportunity to take a morning walk accompanied by other women!

Outdoor activity, in small group of at least 4 and maximum 6 people, starting at 8am, with approximately 3 hours of total duration.

What to expect

Walk of 3km (1,8 miles), back and forth, through the Primates Trail, inside the Atlantic Forest, on a land-beaten trail. We will climb towards the Cachoeira dos Primatas, with a stop in natural view. Return to the starting point.

During the tour, we will make a stop at Cachoeira to refresh ourselves! Good time for hydration and feeding. Afterwards, we will follow up to a natural view to enjoy the view of Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas with the beach of Ipanema in the background.

Important information:
1) Wear sporting clothes, comfortable tennis and small backpack (hat use is optional);
2) If you want to enter the waterfall, we recommend wearing bathing under the clothes (there is no way to change clothes on site);
3) Each participant must bring their own hydration. We recommend 1 liter of water;
4) Each participant must bring their own food for consumption during the tour. We recommend bar of cereals, chestnut, peanut, banana or small sandwiches;
5) We recommend the use of sunscreen;
6) We recommend the use of repellent.

Meeting Point: Official access to the Primates Trail on Rua Sara Vilela in the Botanical Garden neighborhood.
