Leaving the harbor, we’ll admire Amalfi from the sea, showcasing its vibrant colors and the iconic lemon terraces clinging to the cliffs. As we cruise along the shoreline, we’ll pass the crystal clear waters of Duoglio and Santa Croce beaches, accessible only by boat or steep stairs. We, then, reach the legendary Arch of Lovers (Arco Naturale), here tradition wants that couples must share a kiss while sailing in front of the arch to ensure their love lasts forever.
As we enter the bay of Conca dei Marini we will sail past the historic fishermen’s village, a place that seems frozen in time. This bay was the heart of the Dolce Vita in the 60s and 70s, becoming a favorite escape for the international jet set. We’ll point out the famous Villa of Sophia Loren, where the Italian icon spent her summers, and the cliffside retreats that once hosted legends like Jackie Kennedy.
Located in the quiet bay of Conca dei Marini, this sea cave is famous for the incredible emerald green light created by the sunlight reflecting underwater. Inside, you can admire giant stalactites and stalagmites that have formed over thousands of years, and even a submerged nativity scene. We will stop at the cave’s entrance, and if you wish, you can choose to enter with a small local rowing boat.
Next, we reach the Furore Fjord, one of the most iconic and photographed spots in all of Italy. This natural wonder is a narrow inlet in the mountain where the sea meets a tiny, hidden beach and ancient fishermen's houses. We will stop right in front of the 30 meter high bridge that crosses the fjord, famous worldwide for the professional cliff diving championships held here every summer. With its dramatic cliffs, it is the perfect place to stop for photos.
As we cruise along the shoreline, we’ll discover Praiano, a unique village famous for having two distinct souls: the sunrise side and the sunset side. Because of its position on the cliff, it is one of the few places on the coast where you can see the sun both rise and set over the sea. We will pass the famous Africana Grotto and the bay of La Gavitella, where the cliffs drop straight into the turquoise water. Navigating close to the coast, you’ll admire the ancient watchtowers and the white houses perched above the waves.
The climax of our journey is the breathtaking arrival in Positano. Known worldwide as the 'Vertical City', from the sea it looks like a majestic pyramid of colors climbing the steep mountain side. You will see the iconic pastel houses and the famous tiled dome of the main church right above the beach. After admiring the view from the water, you will have the opportunity to go ashore. If you wish, you can hop off the boat to explore the narrow streets, visit the local boutiques, or enjoy a gelato.
After exploring the western coast, we will turn back and cruise towards the east side, passing Amalfi to discover Atrani. This is the smallest village in Italy and a true Mediterranean masterpiece. Recently, its unique beauty has made it a favorite film set for major international movies and TV series. It’s a quick but unforgettable view of a town that looks exactly like a real-life movie set.
Still cruising east, we’ll reach the coastline of Ravello, specifically the area known as Marmorata. While the town center sits high above, the view from the sea is incredible. You’ll look up to see the legendary Villa La Rondinaia, an architectural masterpiece literally built into the face of the cliff. Right next to it, you'll spot the Terrace of Infinity at Villa Cimbrone. We’ll also stop to see the Marmorata Waterfall: a natural stream of fresh water that flows directly into the sea, once used to power an ancient paper mill. It is one of the most scenic and peaceful corners of the coast.
To conclude our journey, we sail past the twin villages Minori and Maiori, two towns shaped by the two rivers that flow from the mountains through the heart of each village.
