Cooking lesson Fresh Sicilian pasta in Palermo

3 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English and 1 more

This is one of the most authentic and engaging experiences we offer, inspired by the ancient Sicilian tradition of homemade pasta. In the past, making fresh pasta in Sicilian families was a true shared ritual: everyone had a role, and kneading together became a moment of sharing, culture, and tradition.

During this experience, you'll literally get your hands on the dough, learning step by step how to prepare traditional Sicilian fresh pasta shapes made from semolina. Once the pasta is ready, we'll gather around a cozy table to enjoy seasonal dishes prepared with the pasta we've made together, accompanied by carefully selected Sicilian wine.

As a special keepsake, you'll receive a digital recipe for fresh pasta, so you can bring a piece of Sicily into your kitchen.

What to expect

After a welcome drink, we'll begin preparing the fresh Sicilian pasta dough and the seasonings (which vary with the season) for the two types of pasta we'll create, using only our hands and antique wooden tools. After the fresh pasta has rested, we'll proceed with cooking and tasting it, along with an appetizer. Water and typical Sicilian wine will accompany the dishes. During the summer, the activity will take place on the large terrace equipped with a kitchen and relaxation area. In the winter, the indoor kitchen, the heart of the house, will be perfect for welcoming everyone as if they were family.
