What to expect

Get hands-on with clay and experience the thrill of working on a potter’s wheel in this fun and creative pottery class designed for adults. Whether you’re completely new to ceramics or looking to practice your throwing skills, this guided experience introduces the fundamentals of wheel‑thrown pottery in a relaxed and supportive studio environment. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, travelers will learn essential techniques while enjoying the playful challenge of shaping clay on the wheel.

Participants will throw multiple pieces during the session and select their two favorite creations to keep, commonly choosing items such as small bowls, cups, bud vases, spoon rests, or other unique handmade forms. After the class, the studio team will handle trimming, smoothing, glazing in your chosen color, and firing—leaving you with professionally finished pieces to remember your Alaskan experience.

NOTE: there is an additional $15-$25 fee for shipping pottery pieces back home.
