A perfect day out for families, the 4.5-hour “Take a Kid Fishing” trip invites young anglers to experience the thrill of deep sea fishing off Murrells Inlet. With all gear provided — including rods, reels, bait, and tackle — families can focus on the excitement of reeling in their first catch while our certified crew provides hands-on guidance throughout the trip. Target species typically include seasonal bottom fish such as sea bass and ringtail, and the crew is right there to help kids hook, reel, and land fish for a fun and successful first fishing experience.
This adventure takes place aboard a comfortable, U.S. Coast Guard certified vessel, equipped with restrooms, a snack bar, and a scenic observation deck for relaxing between bites. Designed for all ages and experience levels, this trip offers a safe, fun, and memorable introduction to fishing on the water.

Meeting and pickup
Please check-in at the Crazy Sister Marina ticket office. The office shares the building with Wicked Tuna and can be found on the right side of the building.

What to expect
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure to ensure a smooth check-in and allow time for any last-minute items from our gift shop before boarding.
Before departure, the crew will provide a quick safety briefing and demonstrate how to use the fishing equipment, including how to handle the rod and reel, what to expect when you get a bite, and basic techniques to help you land your catch. No experience is needed — they've got you covered.
Once underway, enjoy a scenic ride through Murrells Inlet as you head to the fishing grounds. The ride out typically takes about an hour, giving you time to relax and take in the views.
When you arrive, it’s time to fish! Our crew will assist with baiting hooks, dropping lines, and helping you reel in your catch.
After fishing, you’ll return to the marina where fish cleaning and filleting services are available from the crew for tips.
