Located just outside Oudtshoorn in the scenic Swartberg Mountains, the Cango Caves are one of South Africa’s oldest and most impressive natural attractions, renowned for their vast chambers and spectacular limestone formations. A guided tour of the Cango Caves takes you deep underground through a series of magnificent dripstone caverns formed over millions of years. The caves feature towering stalactites, stalagmites, and dramatic rock formations, all beautifully illuminated to enhance their natural beauty.

A visit to the Knysna Heads is one of the most iconic highlights of the Garden Route. Located in Knysna, the Heads consist of two towering cliffs—the Eastern Head and the Western Head. From the viewpoints, guests can enjoy sweeping panoramic views of the ocean, lagoon, and surrounding coastline.
Unwind at the vibrant Knysna Quays Waterfront, a lively hub set along the scenic lagoon in Knysna. This charming waterfront area is the perfect place to relax, soak in the views, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of the Garden Route. Stroll along the marina, browse boutique shops, or simply sit back at one of the many restaurants and cafés overlooking the water. With yachts gently swaying in the harbour and beautiful lagoon views all around, it’s an ideal stop to recharge during your journey.
After breakfast, depart at 09:00 and travel to Robberg Nature Reserve, a spectacular coastal reserve and premier hiking destination. During the season, guests may have the opportunity to spot southern right whales close to the shoreline. Enjoy a relaxed stroll along the famous Hermanus Cliff Path, offering spectacular ocean views and excellent vantage points for whale watching.
Experience a top-level wine tasting at Benguela Cove Wine Estate, one of South Africa’s most acclaimed wine estates. This charming coastal village offers a unique opportunity to observe these fascinating birds up close in their natural environment, as they waddle along the boardwalks, rest on the rocky shoreline, and swim in the clear ocean waters. The reserve provides well-maintained viewing platforms, allowing guests to enjoy excellent photographic opportunities while respecting the penguins’ protected habitat.
Finally, travel along the scenic Whale Coast from Betty's Bay back to Cape Town, passing dramatic coastal scenery, mountain backdrops, and picturesque seaside towns along the way.
