A private kayak tour through the rivers and canals of central Osaka, guided by Kiby, with over 15 years of experience paddling across Japan and overseas. Every tour is one group only you set the pace and explore on your own terms. No experience necessary for the city tours. Kiby will teach you everything before you leave the shore. Families, couples, solo travelers, and first-timers are all welcome.
Tours primarily in English, with basic Spanish available. Japanese also welcome. Paddle through Nakanoshima — Osaka's "Urban Jungle" past skyscrapers, historic bridges, and quiet canals worlds away from the busy streets above. Views that don't exist from land.
For experienced paddlers, the Dotonbori Night Kayak (approx. 16km) offers something rare: total darkness and silence, then the full spectacle of Dotonbori neon. One of the most unique urban kayaking experiences in Japan.

Meeting and pickup
Osaka City's only artificial beach is located a 7-minute walk from JR Sakuranomiya Station. Kayaks are generally placed on the beach to the left and further back when facing the river, so please walk towards them. The guide will be waiting there wearing a life jacket, so they will be easy to spot.
What to expect
Even in one of Japan's busiest cities, the river is quiet, peaceful, and entirely your own. The familiar skyline looks completely different from the water. Buildings become something new when seen from the river, at paddle height.
During cherry blossom season, petals drift across the water in front of the historic public hall — a view visible only by kayak.
Kayaking is one of humanity's oldest forms of travel. No engine, no emissions — powered entirely by you. The ultimate eco-tour, with nearly zero environmental impact.
