No rush this morning, however, early morning and late afternoon game drives offer the best wildlife sightings due to natural animal behavior. With your packed lunch, enjoy a full day game drive in Ruaha National Park, stopping for a scenic picnic in the afternoon. Ruaha, almost as large as the Serengeti, remains one of Tanzania’s most untouched and thrilling wilderness areas. It is a true birdwatcher’s paradise with more than 350 recorded species. Wildlife gathers along the Great Ruaha River, the lifeline of the park, where you may spot waterbuck, impala, and Grant’s gazelle. The riverbanks are also prime hunting grounds for lion, leopard, jackal, hyena, and the rare African wild dog.

In the afternoon, stop for a picnic. The park boasts an almost untouched and unexplored ecosystem, making for a very special safari. It is one of the few famous wilderness areas in Tanzania where one can have a unique experience of wildlife spotting and exploring the fascinating landscape.
