Connect Achada do Teixeira and Pico do Arieiro for your PR1 hike with a private Madeira transfer reserved exclusively for your group. Travel directly in an SUV suited to high-altitude mountain roads, with pickup at Achada do Teixeira at your selected time and drop-off at the Pico do Arieiro trailhead. Use the transfer whether you are starting or finishing the hike, without sharing the ride.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Look for a white or grey SUV parked at the Achada do Teixeira parking lot. Your driver will be waiting near the vehicle in the Achada do Teixeira parking area.
If you leave your car at Achada do Teixeira, we take you to Pico do Areeiro so you can start the PR1 from the top and finish back at your car. If you leave your car at Pico do Areeiro, we take you from Achada do Teixeira to Pico do Areeiro so you can collect your car after completing the hike.
What to expect
On the day, your driver will share their live location so you can easily find each other at the parking area at Achada do Teixeira, and take you directly to Pico do Areeiro in a comfortable, air-conditioned SUV.
The one-way transfer takes approximately 1 hour and is exclusively for your group — no shared buses or other passengers.
You’ll be dropped off at Pico do Areeiro, at the starting point of the PR1 Vereda do Areeiro, allowing you to begin your hike towards Pico Ruivo.
