One of the most dramatic and haunting landscapes along the Great Ocean Road — Loch Ard Gorge is a breathtaking natural inlet of turquoise water framed by towering limestone cliffs. Named after the iron clipper ship Loch Ard which tragically wrecked here in 1878, killing 52 of the 54 people on board. Your guide will share the remarkable survival story of the only two survivors — two teenagers, Tom Pearce and Eva Carmichael — who made it to shore through the gorge. A place of extraordinary beauty with an equally extraordinary story.
