Ariadne's Thread is not a tour and not an escape room. It is a privately arranged, myth-inspired treasure hunt through the ancient villages and hidden landscapes of Apokoronas — hand-crafted for each group individually.
Before the journey begins, we reach out personally to understand who you are. What arrives on the day was prepared with your group in mind — including something written specifically for you.
The route moves through places most visitors never find — ancient sites, natural springs, quiet village paths and landscapes shaped by 4,000 years of Cretan history. Along the way, role cards, hidden clues and a village encounter with local Tsikoudia and Dakos reveal themselves one step at a time.
No competition. No rush. No script.
The experience ends with the final treasure — and a shared table at a local taverna with Mezedes, wine and water included.

Meeting and pickup
After booking, we'll send you the exact meeting location, directions and a photo, making it easy to find us. Meet us 10 minutes before the start, and we'll warmly welcome you with the first clue of your adventure.
What to expect
Before the day begins, we reach out with a few quiet questions to prepare something personal for your group. Nothing is random. Everything is made with care.
Together — as a group — you receive your hand-crafted map, Ariadne's Thread and your first clue. The path leads through the ancient villages and landscapes of Apokoronas — hidden places and ancient sites most visitors never find.
Role cards, handcrafted clues and personal surprises reveal themselves at just the right moment. Clues are tucked into ancient olive trees and stone walls. Each one reveals the next. You travel between locations in your own vehicle, continuing on foot at your own pace.
A village encounter offers a genuine taste of Cretan hospitality. Somewhere on the path, something personal arrives — written for your group beforehand.
The journey ends where it was always leading — the final treasure. Then a shared table at a local taverna: Mezedes, wine and water included.
