1Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21
Welcome to Mi'kma'ki — the land of the Mi'kmaq. The full experience includes a museum visit and hands-on Indigenous Mosaic Glass Art workshop hosted by Tribal Fusion Art. Explore exhibits, tours, and film screenings before or after the workshop. Experience fascinating stories of Canadian immigration. Includes the National Historic Site. National museum. Immigration records. A Halifax must-see. Workshop: Begin with a welcome from your First Nations hosts, including a welcome to the territory, opening prayer, and smudging ceremony. Create your own mosaic glass coaster with all materials provided. Your hosts will guide you while sharing stories and teachings. Enjoy a private guided tour of the Welcome to Turtle Island fused glass installation from an Indigenous perspective. Take home your completed coaster and a Seven Grandfather Teachings DIY Indigenous Mosaic Art Kit. Finish with a closing ceremony. Allow an EXTRA 60–90 minutes for the full museum experience.
