What to expect

Slow Stroke Therapy 'SEOYE' class is a private Korean calligraphy experience in the heart of Seoul, designed for those who want more than a demonstration to watch or a souvenir to buy.

Beginning with dressing in traditional Korean hanbok and tasting light refreshments, the program takes you hands-on through the art of Korean brush writing from the very first stroke of Hangul - its philosophy, the structure and meaning behind each stroke, and the meditative rhythm that connects the writer to the page.

Think of a word, phrase, or message you have been carrying, and write it directly onto hanji paper using a traditional brush and ink. An expert is beside you from start to finish. Sessions are kept small - a maximum of 10 guests - so the guidance is personal, and the pace is entirely yours.

Your finished scroll is stamped with a custom-carved nakgwan and wrapped in a traditional bojagi cloth to carry home. It will be one of the most meaningful and memorable things you take home from Seoul.

We are located in central Seoul, just 3 minutes on foot from City Hall Station (Line 1-2, Exit 5) - within easy reach of Gyeongbokgung, Bukchon, Insadong, and Cheonggyecheon Stream.
