Offered in: Japanese and 1 more

This is a special wagashi-making experience where you can learn directly from a wagashi master with experience in Japan and overseas, including a jonamagashi performance aboard the world-famous luxury cruise ship Queen Elizabeth.

The experience takes place at the Korindo Wagashi Institute, operated by Korindo, a long-established wagashi shop founded in 1885. The institute was created to help guests discover the appeal of wagashi while engaging all five senses.

In this experience, you will try making jonamagashi, often described as “edible art,” while learning about the history and culture of wagashi and the craftsmanship behind it. You will also prepare matcha yourself and enjoy the pairing of wagashi and matcha with the jonamagashi you have created.
