This private gastronomic tour is designed for those who want to discover the most authentic Sicily through flavors, villages and people who guard its traditions. Reserved for your group, it will take you from village to village in the Iblean Mountains, to discover the excellences that have made each territory famous.

You will meet a beekeeper in Sortino and discover the world of honey with tasting. You will then reach Palazzolo Acreide, home of the Palazzolo Sausage, Slow Food Presidium, where you will witness its preparation and taste artisan specialties. You will conclude the experience in a distillery, discovering how the medicinal herbs of the Iblean Mountains become bitters and liqueurs, with final tasting.

Between one stop and the other you will pass through countryside and villages rich in history, discovering how each country holds a symbolic product and a unique tradition. More than a gastronomic tour, it will be a journey into the most authentic soul of the Hyblean Mountains.

    You will enter the laboratory of a historic local butcher, where you will witness the preparation of Palazzolo Sausage, Slow Food Presidium. At the end of the visit, you will taste sausage, mortadella and other artisan specialties.

    You will enter the farm of a local beekeeper, where you will learn about the world of bees and the honey production process, from the hive to the extraction. At the end of the visit, you will taste a selection of homemade honeys.
