Experience a mindful, authentic Japanese tea ceremony! In this unique session, you will learn the elegant manners of enjoying thin tea (Usucha) and sweets, as well as the deep art of utensil viewing (Haiken). Enjoy the tea ceremony mindfully with using five senses. Perfect for beginners looking to relax and connect with Japanese culture!

What to expect

I provide a 90-minute in-person workshop for travelers to enjoy Japanese Tea Ceremony experience in the tea room in Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture (just a 24-minute bullet train ride from Tokyo).
A traditional Japanese tea ceremony is a travel highlight, but entering an authentic tea room can feel intimidating without knowing the customs.

Through this intimate session in fluent English, you will learn:
