Our Select Kimono Rental Plan at the Kiyomizu Higashiyama Store is perfect for visitors who want to enjoy sightseeing in Kyoto while wearing a beautiful traditional kimono.

The store is conveniently located near some of Kyoto’s most popular attractions, including Kiyomizu-dera Temple, the historic streets of Higashiyama, and Gion. Once you are dressed, you can step outside and immediately begin exploring Kyoto’s charming streets in kimono.

The Select Plan includes everything you need for a complete kimono rental experience, including the kimono, obi, traditional handbag, zori sandals, and all necessary dressing accessories.
There is nothing you need to prepare in advance — simply come to the store and enjoy the experience.

Choose your favourite kimono from a wide variety of colours, patterns, and designs available in the store. After you make your selection, our experienced staff will professionally dress you.

If you would like an even more special or luxurious style, you can upgrade to other kimono plans at the store on the day of your visit. You can see the actual kimono, obi, and accessories in person and choose the style that best suits you.

Hairstyling can also be added on the day. Complete your kimono look with a hairstyle that matches your outfit and enjoy an even more elegant and photogenic appearance.

For those who want to capture their special day in Kyoto, a professional photography plan can also be added at the store. Enjoy memorable photos in your kimono with Kyoto’s traditional streets and scenery as the backdrop — perfect for couples, families, friends, and special travel memories.
