What makes your tour special?
A private golf cart tour through Florence’s most scenic viewpoints, combining comfort, history, and breathtaking panoramas at Piazzale Michelangelo, San Miniato, Rose Garden, and more.
During this golf cart tour, travelers will explore some of the most beautiful viewpoints and hidden gems of Florence. The experience includes Piazzale Michelangelo, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city. From there, we will visit the historic Church of San Miniato al Monte, one of the oldest and most stunning churches in Florence, located above the city, as well as the nearby Cemetery of San Miniato, famous for its peaceful atmosphere and impressive monuments. The tour continues through Porta San Miniato and the scenic Michelangelo’s Cascades (Le Rampe), a unique historic stairway and water feature. We will also pass by Torre di San Niccolò, one of the last remaining medieval city gates still intact. Finally, we will stop at the Rose Garden (Giardino delle Rose), a peaceful spot filled with beautiful roses and spectacular views of Florence. This tour combines history, nature, and unforgettable scenery in a comfortable and relaxing way.
We will stop at the beautiful Rose Garden (Giardino delle Rose), located just below Piazzale Michelangelo. It is a peaceful oasis filled with over 350 species of roses, lemon trees, and whimsical sculptures by the Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon. Here, you can take a relaxing stroll, enjoy an incredible panoramic view of Florence's skyline, and take some of the best photos of your trip!
As we drive up toward Piazzale Michelangelo, we will admire the spectacular Sistema delle Rampe del Poggi. Designed by architect Giuseppe Poggi in the 19th century, this monumental series of neo-Renaissance terraces, caves, and cascading waterfalls has been beautifully restored. It offers a magical, lush green atmosphere with flowing water right along our route, making the climb to the panoramic viewpoints incredibly scenic!
At the base of the hill leading to Piazzale Michelangelo, we will encounter the majestic Porta San Niccolò. This towering, 14th-century stone gate is the only medieval tower in Florence that was not lowered during the siege of 1529, meaning it still retains its original, imposing height. As we pass by in the golf cart, you will get a perfect, up-close view of this ancient fortress gate, which stands like a giant sentinel guarding the path up the hill.
Perched on the highest point in Florence, just above Piazzale Michelangelo, we will reach the breathtaking Basilica of San Miniato al Monte. This 1,000-year-old Romanesque masterpiece is famous for its striking green-and-white marble facade and its quiet, mystical atmosphere. We will make a stop here to enjoy a panoramic view that is even higher and less crowded than Piazzale Michelangelo, and you'll have the chance to admire its spectacular architecture and the historic cemetery surrounding it.
