Transnistria is already one of Europe's most unusual destinations, but even many visitors never discover one of its best-kept secrets: a remarkable collection of Soviet mosaics hidden across towns and villages rarely visited by foreign travelers.
This is the only tour that brings them together in a single experience. Departing from Chisinau, you'll travel across Transnistria in search of more than 13 Soviet mosaics and 4 monumental bas-reliefs located in Bender, Ghisca, Tiraspol and Sucleia.
Created during the Soviet era, these artworks were designed to inspire, educate and communicate the values of their time. While many similar works disappeared elsewhere after 1991, dozens have survived here almost unchanged.
No museums, no queues and no entrance tickets. Just a journey through one of Europe's least-understood territories, exploring forgotten Soviet art with a local guide.
Free pickup from Chisinau is included. Pickup from Bender and Tiraspol is also available. Your guide Andrew will contact you via WhatsApp or Viator messages after booking to confirm the exact pickup location and departure time.
