Two summits, a hidden mountain shrine, a traditional Korean sauna, and Korean BBQ to finish the day.
10 km - 700 meters vertical climbing
One of the best ways to experience Busan beyond the city streets.
We begin at Beomeosa Temple before visiting a secluded hillside shrine known for its striking Buddha sculptures and peaceful atmosphere. The hike begins with a steep climb through the forest to Gabobong (710 m). From the first summit, we follow the tourist-free northern trails of Geumjeongsan National Park, with wide views over the Nakdong River and Busan. We continue southwest along the ridge toward Godangbong, Busan’s highest peak at 801 m, before descending along the mountain fortress walls to the village below. After descending from Busan's highest summit, we head to Oncheonjang, one of Korea's historic hot spring districts. Relax tired legs in a traditional Korean sauna before gathering for Korean BBQ at one of our favorite restaurants to finish the day like a local.
Please meet at the top of the stairs of Exit 7 at Beomeosa Station.
