The Lubo Kristek Museum (Muzeum celoživotního díla Lubo Kristka) is located at Chateau Lubo (Zámeček Lubo) in Podhradi nad Dyji. Nestled in the iconic house with a piano on the roof, the museum presents the oeuvre of Czech surrealist artist Lubo Kristek across seven exhibition halls.
Lubo Kristek is a sculptor, painter, and performer whose works can be found in public spaces across Europe. After spending three decades in Germany, he returned to Czechia, where he continues to create at Chateau Lubo. He is also known for his internationally acclaimed happenings, more than 50 of which have been staged across three continents.
The museum reveals both the evolution of his art and aspects of his private life. Explore a collection of sculptures, paintings, assemblages, and performance relics spanning more than 60 years. Guided tours offer insight into his imagination and the hidden corners of his legacy.
