Meeting and pickup

What to expect
A famous Croatian proverb says: “Stone by stone, a palace is built.” In your case, stone by stone, it’s a wall built in an authentic local family olive grove. A dry stone building technique protected by UNESCO is taught by Ana, leader of national and international dry stone wall workshops, and built by you. It’s a unique heritage experience with a bit of theory, some practice and a lot of fun.
Set in an authentic family-owned olive grove surrounded by traditional dry stone walls, the workshop begins with a short introduction to the importance of stone in Dalmatian heritage, the UNESCO protection of dry-stone walling, and the basic principles of dry-stone construction. After the introduction, participants will have the opportunity to learn by doing and build with stone themselves under Ana’s guidance.
For this workshop, please wear sturdy shoes and bring a cap or hat, sunglasses, and plenty of positive energy.
