See three sides of Issyk-Kul's quiet south shore in a single day from Bishkek, without an overnight stay. Walk about 1.5 km through the colorful clay and sandstone formations of the Ak-Sai canyons. In the village of Bokonbayevo, watch a traditional eagle hunting show, where a local berkutchi flies a trained golden eagle and you can photograph the bird up close. In the afternoon, hike 2–3 km to the Shatyly Viewpoint for a wide view over the lake, then stop at a beach on the way back, with time to swim from June to September.
An English-speaking guide stays with the group all day, and the eagle show is included. This is a long day: you meet at 4:30 AM and return to Bishkek at about 11:30 PM, with around 11 hours of driving. Meals are not included, but there are stops for food along the way.
