1Angkor Wat
The ancient towers of Angkor Wat slowly emerge from the darkness, reflected in still lotus ponds as the sky changes from deep blue to gold. As you walk through the massive stone galleries, you’ll discover intricate carvings telling stories of gods, kings, battles, and daily life from the Khmer Empire more than 800 years ago. Beyond the main temple, the vast archaeological complex reveals hidden jungle temples, giant tree roots wrapped around ancient ruins, and quiet pathways once traveled by monks and royalty. Nearby, the smiling stone faces of Bayon Temple watch silently over Angkor Thom, while Ta Prohm blends nature and history together in dramatic fashion. Every corner of Angkor offers a sense of scale, mystery, and craftsmanship unlike anywhere else in the world.

2Bayon Temple
Inside Bayon Temple, towering stone faces gaze in every direction with calm, mysterious expressions that have become one of Cambodia’s most iconic images. The temple’s narrow corridors, detailed carvings, and layered terraces create a maze-like atmosphere filled with history and symbolism. As sunlight moves across the ancient stone, the faces seem almost alive.

3Ta Prohm
At Ta Prohm, massive jungle trees and tangled roots grow directly through ancient temple walls, creating one of the most dramatic scenes in the Angkor complex. Left partially untouched, the temple shows how nature slowly reclaimed the ruins over centuries. Its mysterious atmosphere became internationally famous after appearing in the movie Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, making Ta Prohm one of the most photographed and recognizable temples in Cambodia.

4Terrace of the Elephants
The Terrace of the Elephants once served as a grand royal viewing platform for ceremonies, parades, and celebrations in the ancient city of Angkor Thom. Its long stone walls are decorated with detailed carvings of elephants, warriors, and mythical creatures.

5Phimeanakas
Hidden within the ancient royal palace grounds of Phimeanakas, this pyramid-shaped temple once stood at the center of Khmer royal life. Steep stairways lead to upper terraces with views across Angkor Thom, while local legends tell of a sacred golden naga believed to protect the kingdom and its kings.
