Discover Alicante’s rich history, layer by layer, on a relaxed small-group walking tour through the Old Town, colorful streets, hidden corners and scenic viewpoints.
As you explore narrow alleys, traditional houses and stone stairways, hear local stories and legends that bring Alicante’s past and present together. There is no rush from one place to the next: the walk is well paced, giving you time to look around, understand what you see and enjoy the atmosphere.
Photography is naturally woven into the experience. Your host will share simple tips to help you find better angles, use natural light and improve your travel photos with any smartphone or camera. No photography experience is needed.
Your host will also take photos of you along the way, and after the tour you’ll receive a curated selection of digital photos as a personal memory of Alicante.

Meeting and pickup
On the main pedestrian seaside promenade of the Marina (Paseo Marítimo), about 50 meters past the "100 Montaditos" restaurant at the port. We will meet exactly by the large, open blue metal gate next to the water.
We finish at San Nicolás Co-Cathedral in the heart of Alicante’s Old Town, with final photos and local tips. You’ll find charming streets, lively squares, and plenty of places to eat or enjoy a drink within a five-minute walk.

Stroll along Alicante’s most famous promenade, lined with rows of towering palm trees and paved with millions of wavy marble tiles. We stop in the heart of the city square to admire the magnificent facade of Alicante’s Baroque Town Hall. Your guide will share a fascinating local geographical secret regarding Spain's official sea level measurements while showing you how to frame grand architectural elements and capture clean angles without the crowds.

A brief transition point shaded by large palm trees just behind the Town Hall. This stop allows the group to gather closely, double-check camera settings for changing light, and prepare for a shift in atmosphere as we leave the wide open squares and enter the older historical quarters.

4Basilica of St Mary of Alicante
Stand directly before the oldest active church in the city, built over the remains of an ancient mosque. You will have plenty of time to photograph the intricate details of its stunning Baroque portal and learn practical mobile tips for managing harsh sunlight and shadows against historic stone walls.

5Torre De La Polvora
As we begin a gradual, steady walk upward into the older quarters, we pause at this specific hillside overlook. It is the absolute best angle in the city to view and photograph the famous "Moor's Face" rock formation carved naturally into the cliffs of Mount Benacantil directly beneath the castle.

6Ermita de San Roque
Pause in one of Alicante’s most traditional corners, near the historic Ermita de San Roque and its neighborhood fountain. Here, you’ll hear about the character and everyday life of the old quarter while enjoying a quiet moment away from the busier streets. It’s also a great place to slow down, observe the details around you and try a few simple photography tips using the light, textures and traditional architecture of the area.

One of the most charming stops on our route, the Casa de las Macetas Azules brings together vivid blue flowerpots, colorful flowers, and traditional whitewashed walls. We pause here to admire the details and take relaxed portraits, using the colors and textures of this delightful corner of Santa Cruz to create a beautiful souvenir of your time in Alicante.

We slowly descend into a quiet, exclusive section of Alicante's most picturesque neighborhood. From this central spot, you’re just a short stroll from lively squares, charming streets, and plenty of places to eat or enjoy a drink—with lots to discover within a five-minute walk.
