Meet your local host near the cruise shuttle stop and explore the historic heart of Alicante, from colorful Old Town streets and hidden corners to some of the city’s best viewpoints.
Along the way, hear stories and legends that bring Alicante’s past and present to life. There is no rush from one landmark to the next: the tour is well paced, giving you time to understand each place and enjoy its atmosphere.
Photography is naturally woven into the experience. Your host will share simple tips to help you capture better travel photos and will also take photos of you during the walk.
After the tour, you’ll receive a curated selection of digital photos as a souvenir. The 2-hour duration also leaves you plenty of time to explore Alicante before returning to your ship.

Meeting and pickup
Meet your host at the first cruise shuttle bus stop, located by the first roundabout on Paseo del Puerto Viejo. The meeting point is about 300–400 metres from the dock and a 10–15-minute walk from the ship. Look for the Toro Tours sign and arrive 10 minutes early.
We finish at San Nicolás Co-Cathedral in the heart of Alicante’s Old Town, with local tips. You’ll find charming streets, lively squares, and plenty of places to eat or enjoy a drink within a five-minute walk.

Begin the tour on Alicante’s iconic seafront promenade, known for its wave-shaped mosaic and rows of palm trees. Learn how the Explanada became one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks and take your first photos of the tour.

4Basilica Santa Maria

5Torre De La Polvora
From this spot, look up toward Mount Benacantil and discover Alicante’s famous “Face of the Moor”, the natural profile visible in the rock beneath Santa Bárbara Castle. Hear the legend behind one of the city’s most recognizable symbols and take a moment to photograph the profile from one of the best angles along the route. Your host will also share a few simple tips to help you capture the shape, light and dramatic backdrop of the mountain.

6Ermita de San Roque
Pause in one of Alicante’s most traditional corners, near the historic Ermita de San Roque and its neighborhood fountain. Here, you’ll hear about the character and everyday life of the old quarter while enjoying a quiet moment away from the busier streets. It’s also a great place to slow down, observe the details around you and try a few simple photography tips using the light, textures and traditional architecture of the area.

Discover a charming corner of Santa Cruz, where blue flowerpots, colorful blooms and whitewashed walls create a lovely backdrop for relaxed portraits.

8Barrio Santa Cruz
Finish near the marina with views of the boats, the waterfront and the city skyline. This final stop is ideal for photos and leaves you close to the beach, shops, restaurants and the route back to the cruise shuttle.

9Concatedral Sant Nicolau de Bari d'Alacant
Discover one of the most important historic landmarks in central Alicante and hear how the Concatedral de San Nicolás became part of the city’s religious and cultural identity. Take a moment to appreciate its architecture and the contrast between its calm, elegant exterior and the lively streets around it. It is also a great spot to look for symmetry, architectural details and interesting photo compositions before continuing through the Old Town.
