Triana is not visited, you live. Discover with us the essence of one of the most personal neighborhoods of Seville on a walking route that combines history, culture and traditions. We will tour its most emblematic corners as we discover how flamenco, ceramics, Holy Week, the seafaring world and the Guadalquivir River have shaped the identity of Triana. From Plaza del Altozano we will cross the emblematic Triana Bridge and visit essential places such as Triana Market, Betis Street, the Chapel of the Sailors and the Parish of Santa Ana. We will finish at the Triana Ceramic Center, discovering the artisan tradition that characterizes the neighborhood. A close and cultural experience to get to know Triana beyond the tourist places and discover its histories, curiosities and traditions.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
If you are coming from the center of Seville, cross Isabel II Bridge (Triana Bridge). At the end of the bridge, you will arrive directly at Plaza del Altozano. The meeting point is next to the Triana Monument to Flemish Art, at the beginning of San Jacinto Street.
The route ends at the Triana Ceramic Center, located at Callao Street, 16, corner of Calle Antillano Campos, in the Triana neighborhood. The center occupies the premises of the former Santa Ana ceramic factory.

1Plaza de Altozano
The gateway to Triana. We will begin the route discovering the history of this emblematic square and its importance as a historical access to the neighborhood. We will also know the close relationship of Triana with flamenco and the world of bullfighting, through its most representative monuments.

2Puente de Isabel II (Puente de Triana)
The famous Triana Bridge. We will cross one of the most emblematic places of Seville while we learn the history of its construction and enjoy the views over the Guadalquivir River and the two banks of the city.

3Capilla Virgen del Carmen
One of the most unique images of Triana. We will discover this small chapel designed by Aníbal González, paying special attention to its architectural elements and its integration in one of the most characteristic spaces of the neighborhood.

4Mercado de Triana
Triana Market and St. George Castle : Tradition, gastronomy and history. We will visit the traditional Triana Market and discover the remains of the Castle of San Jorge, a space closely linked to the history of the Inquisition in Seville.

The most emblematic walk next to the Guadalquivir. We will walk along the famous Calle Betis to discover the seafaring and popular character of Triana, while enjoying some of the best panoramic views of Seville. We will also have free time to enjoy the atmosphere and local cuisine.

6Capilla de los Marineros
The heart of Triana's brotherhood tradition. We will visit the headquarters of the Brotherhood of Hope of Triana and learn about the importance that Holy Week and the brotherhoods have in the identity and traditions of the neighborhood.

The Triana Cathedral. We will discover one of the most important historical temples in the neighborhood and one of the oldest religious buildings in Seville, discovering its history and its importance for the residents of Triana.

Triana's handcrafted legacy. We will finish the route discovering the pottery and ceramic tradition that for centuries has given identity to the neighborhood. We will learn about the history of their workshops, their traditional techniques and the importance of ceramics in Seville culture.
